Refund & Returns Policy

At Alejandra Riva, each piece is crafted with exceptional care and attention. We want every client to be fully satisfied with their purchase.
- Ready-to-Ship Pieces
For handbags available for immediate purchase, we welcome return requests within 14 days of confirmed delivery.
To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, in its original condition, and returned in its original packaging including all accompanying materials. The fact that a piece is one-of-a-kind does not in itself exclude it from return eligibility. These conditions do not restrict any statutory right of withdrawal, including the right to inspect and handle goods as permitted by applicable consumer protection law.

For returns under a statutory right of withdrawal, refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving your notice of withdrawal, subject to our right, where permitted by applicable law, to withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or evidence that they have been sent back. Refunds will be made using the original payment method, unless otherwise expressly agreed. Original standard delivery costs will be refunded where required by applicable law.
- Made-to-Order & Bespoke Commissions
Clients wishing to exercise a statutory right of withdrawal for made-to-order pieces that have not been produced to individual specifications may do so by notifying us clearly within the applicable statutory period. No prior authorisation is required to exercise this right.
For pieces produced according to your individual specifications or that are clearly personalised, the right of withdrawal does not apply where permitted by applicable law, including under EU and UK consumer legislation. This exemption does not apply solely on the basis that a product is described as made-to-order, if it has not been personalised or produced to individual specifications.
If you are uncertain whether this exemption applies to your order, please contact us before placing it.
- Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or does not correspond to what you purchased, please contact us as soon as possible at alejandrarivacouture@gmail.com, including photographs of the item and packaging.
We will assess each situation and offer an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights, which may include repair, replacement, or refund. No contractual time limit in this policy restricts the statutory guarantee or warranty rights available to you under the laws of your country of residence.
- Return Shipping Costs
Where a return is due to a defect, damage, or an error on our part, Alejandra Riva will cover the cost of return shipping.
For change-of-mind returns on ready-to-ship pieces, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the client, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Clients located in the European Union and United Kingdom have the right to return goods within the statutory withdrawal period in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.
- Right of Withdrawal
If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the date on which you or a third party (other than the carrier) take physical possession of the goods, without providing any reason.
To exercise this right, you may notify us by any clear statement — including by email to alejandrarivacouture@gmail.com — indicating your decision to withdraw. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.
You must return the item within 14 days of notifying us of your withdrawal. Return shipping costs are your responsibility unless we have agreed otherwise.
This right does not apply to goods made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised, as described in Section 2.
